Welcome to Vanzim. These terms explain what you're agreeing to when you use our service. We've tried to write them plainly rather than bury things in dense legal language.
What Vanzim is
Vanzim is a service that takes conversation data your AI system sends us, removes personal information from it, generates a cryptographic hash, and writes the cleaned content directly into your own AWS storage. We keep a record of the hash and basic metadata so that anyone can later verify a specific file hasn't been altered since it was created.
What Vanzim is not: Vanzim is not a law firm, and using our service is not legal advice. We do not guarantee that using Vanzim satisfies any specific regulatory framework (including but not limited to the EU AI Act, GDPR, HIPAA, or any other law or regulation) for your particular business. You're responsible for confirming your own compliance obligations with qualified legal counsel.
Your account
- You need to provide accurate information when you sign up, and keep your login credentials secure.
- You're responsible for everything that happens under your account, including actions taken using your API key. If you believe your API key has been compromised, rotate it immediately from your dashboard.
- You must be legally able to enter into a contract to use Vanzim (generally, an adult acting on behalf of a real business).
Plans and payment
- We offer a free Starter plan (limited to 500 total logs) and a paid Pro plan, billed monthly.
- All payments are processed by our payment provider, Paddle, who may act as the merchant of record for your purchase. Paddle's own terms apply to the payment transaction itself.
- You can cancel your subscription at any time through Paddle's customer portal, or by emailing us and we'll process the cancellation on your behalf. When you cancel, you keep access through the end of your current paid period, we don't cut off access early.
- We may change our pricing going forward, but we'll give existing customers reasonable notice before any change takes effect on their account.
Your responsibilities
- Your AWS bucket is yours to secure. You're responsible for configuring your own AWS credentials, permissions, and bucket security correctly. We verify certain configurations (like whether Object Lock is enabled) but we can't guarantee your bucket's overall security, since we don't control it.
- You're responsible for your own end users. If your product sends conversations involving your own customers or users to Vanzim, you're responsible for having appropriate notice, consent, or legal basis for that processing under whatever laws apply to you.
- Don't send us anything illegal. Don't use Vanzim to process, store, or transmit content that's illegal to possess or distribute, or that infringes on someone else's rights.
- Don't try to break our systems. No attempting to circumvent rate limits, security measures, or the intended use of our API.
What we actually promise
- We'll make a good-faith effort to keep our service available and responsive, but like any service, we can experience outages. If a request to us fails, our recommended integration pattern means your own system should save the data locally and retry, we're not responsible for data loss if your own integration doesn't implement this.
- We verify AWS Object Lock configuration by checking directly with AWS at the time of the check. We don't continuously monitor your bucket's configuration after that point unless you trigger another check.
- Our PII scrubbing catches a defined, specific set of patterns (currently: emails, phone numbers, credit card numbers, and, on our Pro plan, ages and dates). It is not a comprehensive redaction system and will not catch every form of personal information, including names, addresses, or other identifiers not covered by these patterns. You should not treat our scrubbing as a complete de-identification solution on its own.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vanzim is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to lost profits, lost data, or regulatory penalties. Our total liability to you for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, or if we reasonably believe your use of the service creates legal or security risk for us or others. You can close your account at any time by emailing us.
Changes to these terms
We'll update the date at the top of this page when we make changes. If a change is material, we'll make a reasonable effort to notify active account holders directly.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh. This section will be updated if Vanzim is formally incorporated in a different jurisdiction.
